It is tought by some that making public transportation free would decrease traffic congestion while other people thinks it would damage their economy. In my opinion, governments should make public transportation free to solve traffic congestion.
Transportation is one of the biggest problem in urban life and it is goverments responsability to solve this problem. People who use public transportation should use it at least twice in one day and it’s affect their economy in a bad way to use it often. That’s way many people think that using personal cars help them to save money. When people start using their own vehicles, it cause traffic congestion. I think, one of the easiest way to avoid traffic congestion is to encourage people to use public transportation more and making public transportation free is solution for that problem.
On the other hand, some people believe that free public transportation grow financial burden on the goverment. Goverments responsibilites for public transportations are to make them efficient, comfortable and keep them active all the time. Firstly, to keep the citizens safe and comfortable public transportation vehicles needs extra care which goverments spends a lot of money. Secondly, goverments need to pay workers who works on public transportation sector to keep transportation active all the time. To make those goverments have to spend huge amount of money every year. Paying public transportation helps goverments to pay needs of public transportation.
In conclusion, making public transportation free have more benefits for citizens. It is goverments responsibility to find money for their workers and take care of public transportation vehicles not citizens. I believe, free public transportation is the strongest solution for traffic congestion beacuse it encourages people to use public transportation more.
