Some believe that educational institutions should concentrate more on learning practical skills, rather than wasting time on theory. I completely agree with this position because of the opportunity to find a job and spend time on more useful things.
In the modern world, the chance to get employment is even higher when people have useful skills. I believe that such skills as knowing languages should be learned in schools, because students can practise more with teachers and get better understanding. Schools, for instance, that provide training in speaking in English allows students an opportunity to speak with native speakers and understand their mistakes, instead of learning the grammar. Moreover, it improves learners’ ability to analyse their problematic spots. Therefore, studying practical skills like languages in schools creates a strong foundation for pupils to be competitive on the job market.
Another point worth mentioning is that academies that equip learners with practical skills improve the ways they can earn money. It can be explained by the fact that instead of lifelong learning of theory students can use practised knowledge to improve their social position. For instance, learning how to manage your own money is a very essential skill for teenagers, because it helps them to alleviate a sheer waste of their budget. From my perspective, it is much better to try to invest money in a bank and get experience, than staying without experience of how money works in real world scenarios. As a result, by focusing more on practical skills students will get a chance to develop their financial situation.
In conclusion, although learning theoretical disciplines is largely important, I fully agree with the belief that focusing more on practical skills includes more advantages such as getting employment and improving one’s financial situation.
