These days, it’s widely argued that subjects, such as art and physical exercises are not necessary, that’s why at schools students should be taught to only academic lessons, that are crucial for their future job. However, I strongly disagree with this, as artistic lessons hepl to expand students’ creativity, which has a similar importance for jobs. Additionally, the importance of sport even much bigger than academic subjects.
Firstly, the role of music and other arts are important for people’s creativity. Many people think that teaching children to sing or draw is a wasting of time. Nevertheless, they do not understand the real role of these subjects, how it helps to expand their mind and to be open-minded. For instance, a profession, like teacher, need involve characteristics such as teaching, an ability to work with students and one of the most important is a creativity. Because, for attracting children’s attention, teachers should make their lessons more attractive by including various interesting and funny tasks, that help students being motivated to study. If they do not have this skill, they can not be a good teacher.
Secondly, physical activities are the key to make yourself calm, avoiding stress level. A large number of students are concentrated on only academic subjects, like maths, foreign languages and others. And not everyone can do well all of these subjects, which lead to overstudy. Furthermore, the level of stress increases, as they are annoyed that they can not achieve their goals. However, sports, for example, playing tennis, football or volleyball, help them to refresh their mind by spending their time with their classmates and avoid damaging of their health. For this reason, they shouldn’t be focused only on their main subjects, but also do some exercises.
All in all, while many individuals say children to focus on only on the main subjects, that are important for their career, and avoid participating on the lessons, such as music and sport. In my perspective, both of these activities have a similar importance as the main for their jobs.
