In modern society due to rapid development of technology communication between the people have become easy and convenient than ever before. Now people prefer online conversation over the direct communication. While many people argue that social media is effecting badly to community, others believe that social networks enable fast communication, improving social relationships. I partly agree with this statement.
In one hand social media made it easier to communicate with people at any time and anywhere regardless of distance. This is because videocall, audio and ability to send photo provide high quality of talking and encourage individual to keep relationships. For instance, student who left her mother-land or hometown can keep in touch with her friends and parents by texting, calling and sharing with her cool moments by sending photos. That makes social media beneficial and valuable. In addition, social networks such as Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook help to find new friend and create new relationships.
In other hand social media has certain drawbacks to face to face conversation. Communicating through social apps do not guarantee long-term relationship and meaningful conversation. That is because people will need support, sharing emotions and empathy that online communication cannot express. As an good example for this due to social media people will lose human interactions and value of relationships and friendship. They feel empty, bored and isolated which lead to divorce or broken relationship. Furthermore, some people tend be act differently on social media than real-life. Social apps not only destroying real communication, but also affecting badly to society.
In conclusion, nowdays social networking replaced real-life communication due to its convenience and widespread availability. While some people take advantages of this trend by fostering strong relationship, many individuals experienced disadvantages of it and loss their close friends.
