Technologies continue to be integrated in our societies, and people are trying to get used to it. Some see them as a movement towards a better future, but others devotedly believe technologies are our archenemies. The question is contentious and controversial.
On one hand, technological developments scare people at times. They become more ubiquitous, and more and more uncontrollable. Even nowadays people are unable to fully understand and foresee the consequences of implementing new technologies, what will be in a year, a decade? Technologies make us adapt to our dynamic world without even taking a breath, for older people, for instance, it is much more effortful to do it so rapidly, and then it all boils down to an ability to keep up with time, to chase for it in order not to be left out. It leads to anxiety, tiredness, burnouts, and depressions and inability to be in the moment and enjoy it.
On the other hand, industrialization is a key aspect of an innovative future and new opportunities. It unseals new jobs that never existed before, for example, IT specialists and Web-designers. Technological advancements help people relocate their chores and provide people with time to devote to their pastimes or to come up with groundbreaking ideas and not waste time on mundane tasks.
I consider technologies as part and parcel of our ever-changing world. They have their own cons and pros, even so their inevitability speaks for themselves. Nevertheless, in my humble opinion, technological advancements helped humanity achieve new heights, simplify our lives, and soared the likelihood of focusing on our preferences and things that spark us, but not humdrum and tedious work.
