Band 4+: Some people believe that the government should spend money on building more public parks and sports facilities, rather than on shopping malls and entertainment centres. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some individuals argue that governments ought to fund more money in public parks than sport facilities. In my opinion, I completely disagree with this view because facilities have more benefit on public than simple parks.

Firstly, building more sport facilities can prevent various diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus. It also encourage overweight people to do more physical activities. For example, according to many researches people from US challenges unpleasant situations on public transports, in aircrafts and around people also struggle many dangerous diseases because of excess weight and solution of these issues build more sport facilities than walking areas and it can be more beneficial not only on public also can increase population of country.

Secondly, nowadays a lot of countries build simple public parks, where is located park benches, trees and fountains and it is definitely that there works street vendors, who sell snacks and people, who rent toy cars for toddlers and they exactly can ruin beauty of parks. I think there is no solution of these problems because some local authorities can give places for sellers in public parks, instead of this government should build sport facilities which can use people in any ages and promote lifelong healthy habits.

In conclusion, I believe that even public parks can bring good income for government sport facilities can be more beneficial on public and improve health of citizens.
