It is often argued that government should take care of old people and funding after they retire while other believe that individuals should save during their working years to fund their own retirement. This easy will discuss both views before giving my own opinion. I believe that government should take care and provide financial support of old people.
On the one hand, some people argue that government should treatment and help old people. They believe that authorities have to maintain life expectancy and ensuring their decent life. For example, If authorities provides the opportunity to provide medical care to the elderly, this will help increase and maintain life expectancy in the country.
On the other hand, others claim that people should save money during their life to ensure their retirement. They argue that personal savings allow the elderly not to depend on someone and reduces the risk of becoming burden. For instance, in many countries the pension is only enough for basic needs, and this is why elders should have savings.
In conclusion, while both views have valid points, I believe that government should arrange a decent life for elderly because it is question of morality. ‘the elderly work all their lives, pay taxes, and develop their country. Logically in retirement they should receive care and support from the government.
