Band 5+: some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is generally believed that volunteering should be mandatory part of programmes which are taught in schools or colleges.I believe that this statement is quite illogical for the reasons that would be provided in the further paragraphs.

At first , doing unpaid community service should not be compulsory. Students should learn the sphere in which they have an interest. In other words, there are a lot of other subjects and fields in the high school programmes ,to which students might have a passion on, instead of doing volunteering. For example, if someone wants to be a scientist, there are already subjects such as astronomy, math ,physics and others that they have to study.Adding unpaid community service to the schools, and convincing students to do unpaid job can be be not vital for them as they have other responsibilities. So, everyone should do in what they have a desire on.

Moreover, volunteering in high school programmes should be at least paid.Students do not have an obligation to do unpaid work, instead ,in order to motivate them somehow ,authorities should make this work a paid one.In this way, students might learn and do volunteering self-willedly.For instance, in foreign countries such as USA or Japan, the system of volunteering is developed. Some communities there pay money even when students are doing their job by their own desire. In general, government should add some rules for the payment when schoolers are doing unpaid maintenance.

To conclude, working in unpaid communities should not be added to the high school programmes for the causes of lack of need as well as the absence of payment for completing the task.

some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

Whether teenagers should be required to undertake unpaid community service as part of their schooling is increasingly debated. In my view, such a requirement is broadly beneficial and should be adopted, provided that schools manage it carefully. The strongest argument in its favour concerns the development of young people themselves. Adolescents who regularly help others […]

some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

It is argued that high school students ought to be required to complete voluntary work as a mandatory component of their education. While there are some drawbacks to this idea, I strongly believe that compulsory community service brings significant benefits to both young people and society as a whole. To begin with, requiring students to […]

The integration of mandatory community service into the secondary school curriculum is a topic of ongoing debate. While some argue that requiring students to volunteer contradicts the altruistic spirit of charity, I strongly believe that making community involvement a prerequisite for graduation provides essential life lessons and strengthens the social fabric. The primary argument in […]

some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

It is often argued that high schools should require non-profit community service as part of their programme. I mostly agree with the opinion that schools should teach children to be ready to contribute to society, although the primary focus should remain on the main curriculum. Nowadays, the education system rewards students solely based on academic […]

some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

Some people argue that unpaid community service should be made mandatory in high schools. I completely agree with this opinion because it helps students develop important life skills and gain a clearer sense of direction for their future. Firstly, participating in community service helps students develop maturity and confidence. When teenagers engage in voluntary work, […]

People believe that they should be able to keep all the money they earn and should not pay tax to the state. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from own knowledge or experience.

Nowadays, some people argue that individuals should be allowed to keep all their income and should not be required to pay taxes to the government. While this idea may seem attractive because people would have more disposable income, I completely disagree. In my opinion, taxation is essential for funding public services and improving countries. One […]

in the moderrn world, it is possible to shop, work and communicate with people via th internet and live withot any face to face contact with other people is it a positive or negativ3 development

The digital revolution has made it entirely feasible for individuals to conduct their shopping and maintain social lives through the internet, eliminating the need for physical interaction altogether. While this shift offers undeniable conveniences, I believe it is ultimately a negative development, as the erosion of in-person human connection carries profound consequences for both individual […]

Some people think that is more effective for student to study in a group while other believe that is better for them to study.

The question whether students study better in groups or individually has sparked debate n recent years. While both can be efficient for different types of people, I personally believe studying alone is more beneficial. Studying in a group can be beneficial for people who learn by explaining or those who would like to get help […]

Some people believe that every student should be required to learn a traditional craft, such as pottery or weaving, in school. Why do you think this is suggested? Do you think this is a good way to improve education?

In recent years, a proportion of society holds the belief that the youth should participate in mandatory education for craft or manual skills in school while some people would beg to differ. Some believe that people today have no interest in maintaining the traditional culture of their country or region. Others believe that it is still important to people that we preserve a traditional way of life. Discuss both views and give your own opinion

A significant debate exists over the question of culture. It is widely asserted that in the contemporary world, due to information abundance in particular, local traditions no longer linger. Nevertheless, numerous individuals recognise the importance of preserving own culture amidst blurring of boundaries, me included. Living in the era of ubiquitous globalisation, we cannot but […]

While many people think that many cities will become unlivable due to overpopulation and environmental pollution in the future, others believe that technological advancements will solve these problems. Although technology may ease some issues, I believe that it cannot fully prevent cities from becoming increasingly difficult to live in over the long term. Many people […]
