Band 5+: some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is argued that voulenteering should be part of the high school curriculum. I am fully supporting this view as it helps people to develop their soft skill and helps to get mutch needed work expierence.

Education should not be limited to strictly academic pursuits. It should also help develop life skills such as teamwork, empathy, self-decipline etc. and one of the common way to develop these skills is through community services. Supporting people that are less fortunate than ourselves can teach us teaches us many lessions, including how to work with other people and the value of hard work, thus enabling us to hone these skill before becoming adults. For example, students from many welthier countries take a gap year to help the less fortunate people then themselves which helps them gain gratitude and improve their work ethics.

Many collages and companies are actively looking these type of experience. Most of the collage graduates comes out with same grades. But experience on extra curiculum activities like charity work makes a huge difference. For example, World’s top ranked universities get thousands of applications from straight A students every year but only can accept a small amount of students. What you have done outside the classroom often differenciate you from others and helps you get that spot.

In conclussion, students should take part of unpaid community work as part of their schooling because it will help them learn the things that they wont be learnig inside the classroom as well as they will gain some real work experience which will help them getting a change in a better university or job.

Whether teenagers should be required to undertake unpaid community service as part of their schooling is increasingly debated. In my view, such a requirement is broadly beneficial and should be adopted, provided that schools manage it carefully. The strongest argument in its favour concerns the development of young people themselves. Adolescents who regularly help others […]

It is argued that high school students ought to be required to complete voluntary work as a mandatory component of their education. While there are some drawbacks to this idea, I strongly believe that compulsory community service brings significant benefits to both young people and society as a whole. To begin with, requiring students to […]

The integration of mandatory community service into the secondary school curriculum is a topic of ongoing debate. While some argue that requiring students to volunteer contradicts the altruistic spirit of charity, I strongly believe that making community involvement a prerequisite for graduation provides essential life lessons and strengthens the social fabric. The primary argument in […]

some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

It is often argued that high schools should require non-profit community service as part of their programme. I mostly agree with the opinion that schools should teach children to be ready to contribute to society, although the primary focus should remain on the main curriculum. Nowadays, the education system rewards students solely based on academic […]

some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) Are you agree or disagree?

Some people argue that unpaid community service should be made mandatory in high schools. I completely agree with this opinion because it helps students develop important life skills and gain a clearer sense of direction for their future. Firstly, participating in community service helps students develop maturity and confidence. When teenagers engage in voluntary work, […]

University students always focus on one specialist subject, but some people think universities should encourage their students to study a range of subjects in addition to their own subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

First of all, it is true that when university students focus mainly on their specialist subjects, they can devote more time to their academic fields. For instance, accounting students require strong matemathical and analytical skills, so studying Maths and IT is essential for them rather than spending too much time on less relevents subjects such […]

To be honest, I have never really thought about international laws, but it seems to me that they are a good idea. International laws could help us uphold environmental standards. For example, people might establish international regulations to control the emissions produced by factories and individuals across different countries. I believe that such regulations would help prevent a decline in air quality.

It is often argued that society cannot exist without various rules and laws. Personally, I totally agree with this statement and think that people cannot live without regulations for the following reasons. Firstly, rules regulate different types of relations between people. Moreover, they can help person to be protected in some situations. Even someone is […]
