Playing sports has a variety of advantages for the body and mental state of a person, and while some believe that the ones that are played in teams are more beneficial, others argue aginst it. Personally, I contend that playing in teams is more challenging than in solitude; therefore, it is more important.
Individual sports eneble players to work on their physial and meantal skills by focusing the game on them. They are also responsible for the outcome of the game, so it gives them control of the game and builds their confidence. Therefore, this type of play gives a more personal and targeted development for people who want improve their performance. For instance, if a person who plays tense practice by playing singles, they will have a chance to acquire and grow their ability before joining a doubles game to play with a partner.
With that being said, there are some skills that can only be developed by playing in teams, and those are cordination, team building plus leadership, and communication. This is because while participating in group activities, people have to work on personal performance as well as that of the group to get the best outcome. An excellent example of this is football, where the result of the game depends on everyone performing at their best of abilities, so the ability of the colletive is more important.
In conclusion, while I acknowledge the importance of playing solo, I beileve playing in groups offer significantly more apportunity for players growth, and it also gives them a sense of community for being a part of a bigger collective.
