Band 6+: Some people like to travel with a companion. Others prefer to travel alone. Which do you think is better and why?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

There is no good or bad way to travel, whether alone or with a companion. Both types of traveling have advantages and disadvantages and can provide us with completely different experiences.

A solo trip allows us not to be independent of other people’s wishes and requirements regarding the journey. We can pursue our own interests and needs, spend time how we choose, go wherever we want, eat what and where we liket and so on. I imagine that for some people, this type of travel might be kind of convenient.

On the other hand, travelling with someone else can be enjoyable, exciting, and comfortable. You can talk, take lots of photos together, help each other with luggage, and to share amazing or challenging moments of the trip.

Personally, I think that travelling with a friend is much more interesting and convenient than travelling alone. I also think that a solo trip can be safless. However I belive that it is very crucial to choose a travel companion carefully before setting of on the journey. It would be best if we had similar habits and lifestyles. We should also make a list of plases we want to visit and discuss our expectations for the trip ahead. Otherwise we might encounter difficulties and misunderstandings during the journey if one of us wants to more relax and enjoy calm walking, food and seeing sights, while the other wants to have a more active program with bars, dancing in clubs until dawn.
