Band 5+: Some people prefer to live in a house, while others feel that there are more advantages to living in an apartment. Are there more advantages than disadvantages of living in a house compared with living in an apartment?

To accommodate a private housing seems to be more beneficial to some people than living in a flat, while other groups find a lot of positive sides of residing a unit of blocked house. In my opinion, the amply of space for the comfort of each family member and sophisticated interior design ideas make the housing sometimes more preferable, however the higher utility and maintaining works bills make the apartment dwelling more appealing.

First of all, the opportunity of self-creating design and planning is opened while people choose to live in detached house, as most of them was built on the initiative of dwellers. In particular, the number of rooms, interior design, roof and walls material can be preconceived and thereby answering to one’s lifelong expectations, tastes, or health conditions. To exemplify, it is commonly known that concrete affects people with asthma and other respiratory diseases, consequently the housing of bricked or wooden walls might be possible solutions for them. Secondly, houses frequently come with yards, gardens or outdoor spaces where residents can enjoy their free-time and avoid unexpected interfering from the neighborhood.

However, I find it more convenient to live in a flat. Most of apartment blocks run not only the accommodation units, but cafés, gyms, kindergartens, medical facilities, underground parking, convenience stores. In other words, multifunctional order of residential buildings allow dweller go downstairs and have everything they need on hand. Besides, given the fact that own a flat means to pay less for utility services, it is also cheaper in case of maintain works.
