Some individuals consider rural areas suitable for living, while other people find urban areas better. Residing in the countryside has both benefits and drawbacks, which this essay will elucidate.
One of the major drawbacks of living in the countryside is uncleanliness. It is mostly evident in developing countries, where people litter on the streets due to two main reasons. Firstly, people are unaware of the consequences of this owing to the lack of education. Secondly, there is no system of allocating trash bins and recycling it by the government. Therefore people are left with no choice but to litter on streets. Another downside of adopting a village life is insufficient facilities of healthcare and education. For example, in Indian villages and towns, people have to travel to the city to get better medical treatment due to the lack of qualified doctors and proper infrastructure and in the case of higher education, students migrate to urban cities.
On the other hand, the primary advantage of living in small villages is clean and unpolluted air. In urban cities, the chemical and trash burn from industries and carbon emissions from vehicles contribute heavily in worsening air quality. Meanwhile, the air quality of a countryside is much better, because the majority of industries are located near large cities. In addition, people mostly either walk or do cycling to commute to work or other places because every destination is almost on walking distance and by doing this, their physical health also stays well, which is the second advantage of village life. A substantial amount of walking and cycling is not tge only reason behind their amazing health. The vast majority of villages and towns consume organic vegetables and fruits that are devoid of chemical-based pesticides and additives, and they rarely eat processed food. These all factors increase the likelihood of remaining physically fit. For instance, in the hunza region of Pakistan, people follow the same diet that i earlier mentioned and consequently the life expectancy in 120 years and 80 years old people are found running and walking effortlessly.
In conclusion, adopting a village life has both benefits such as high-quality air and high chances of having a good health, and downsides including cleanliness issues and lack of healthcare and education facilities.
