There is a common belief that only by going to a college or university students can obtain a good job. It’s not wrong, however, not all students have enough conditions to attend higher education. Therefore, I suggest that getting a job right after graduating from high school is a better way for teenagers to gain success as there are numerous compelling reasons in my following essay.
First and foremost, I would shed light on the reasons why many keep studying to get an academic degree. This is crucial for those who have a dream of becoming an engineer, doctor, teacher, or a profuse of careers that are classified into high positions in society. To be in these driving seats, young individuals need to be equipped with knowledge and professional qualifications at the university level. Moreover, there are more priorities for school leavers who have a university degree in hand. A great number of companies, for example, recently required their employees to have qualifications acknowledged by a college or university to ensure the best work efficiency. On that account, it will be more competitive for graduates to successfully get a job that they have a burning desire for without university qualifications.
On the other hand, I would argue that it is far more beneficial for students to work without university qualifications. Getting a job after graduating high school is a sustainable and comfortable way for all students, especially for those who are unable to continue to study higher education. Not all people can make ends meet with the expensive fees in university or are interested in continuing their learning. Those who get a job after leaving high school have the opportunity to work and experience earlier than their friends in university. Then they are able to start up their own businesses with the practical and essential life skills that they attained from their work. Bill Gates, a compelling example, was known as a successful businessman without any degree from a higher education institution. On the contrary with many people that college is the only path to success, he dropped out of prestigious schools to start their own businesses and achieved great success.
In conclusion, from my perspective, in today’s world, it’s more vital for individuals to have a career that they can settle down rather than having an academic degree. However, studying higher education or going to work is also the ways that lead us to success. So, just need determination and passion, all ways will lead us to success.
