It is generally acknowledged that all patients need a doctor to help them heal. Many people do not pay much attention to their health and lean on doctors too much by assuming that visiting doctors can overcome all health issues. This assumption will contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle, and I propose that consistently striving for health education in school could be the solution.
The assumption that depending on the doctor only to overcome all health issues would unconsciously increase an unhealthy lifestyle. When people keep thinking that there are always solutions given by doctors, they tend to do nothing to prevent illness. They would never take into consideration the amount of sugar in foods, the proper exercise, or even the minimum sleeping hours we need. These matters would lead to other issues such as rising heart diseases, diabetes, and respiratory diseases. Consequently, health supports such as hospitals, the nurses, medicines, or even the doctors would be overwhelmed to handle all the public health issues that are promoted by unhealthy habits.
Dealing with these issues involves consistently educating the children in school to be aware of health. This way should be supported by the government, schools, health supports, and parents due to maintaining a healthy lifestyle requires collaboration of all parties. The government could conduct health education programs in school such as seminars or lectures to maintain awareness about how to take care of our health. Moreover, conveying the risks of unhealthy habits and publishing nutrients that must be in every meal could be advanced solutions as well. All of these actions would be the solutions to prevent the drawbacks of an unhealthy lifestyle.
All in all, I believe that relying only on doctors could lead to a bad habit of life that will contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle. However, education could be the way out to tackle this issue.
