Nowadays, some people believe that spending too much time sociallising can prevent individuals from understanding their our feelings. I partly with this view because constsnt interaction may leave little time for self-refrection, although socialising can also help people understand their emotions.
On the one hand, excessive socialising can make it difficult for people to reflect on their throughts and feelings. When individuals are constantly surrounded by friends, colleagues, family members , they may focus more on other people’s opinions than on others own emotions. For example a teenager who spends most of their free time chatting online or meeting friends may have a little opportunity to think about personal problem or future goals. As a result, they may become less aware of what they actually want or feel.
On the other hand, social interaction can also help people understand themselves better. Talking to trusted friends or family members allows individuals to express their emotions and receive different perspectives. For instance, disscusing a stressful situation with close friend can help someone identify the real cause of their anxiety and decide how to deal with it.
In conclusion, although excessive socialising can reduce opportunities for self-refrection, i believe that communication with others can also contribute to emotional understanding.
