In the developed era, there is an ongoing debate among individuals that the government should take financial responsibility to set up large sculptures and monuments in public places for enjoyments of individuals. I completely disagree with this statement, and I will explain my opinions giving valid reasons in the following paragraphs.
One of the majority reasons behind my disagreement with this idea is that such agencies of state are not investors to spend millions of pounds to put such piece of art in outdoor spaces. This is due to the fact that if the government sets huge piece of arts, such as monuments and effigies of famous people in outdoor spaces, the construction of such arts requires a large amount of money and materials, which leads to spend too much money on those projects. Instead, the government can invest that money to improve local facilities, including educational centers, hospitals, and others essential services.
Moreover, the second significant reasons why I do not support this idea is due to the limited funds of the governments to fund to build large piece of arts in crowded places. This stems from the stance that if the government spend a huge amount of money to build large monuments in public places, such agencies must pay their full attentions and money to hold construction of such arts. Consequently, it leads some local facilities to get overlooked from being improved, and it can also lead the states to some financial problems.
In conclusion, some people argue that some kinds of monuments must be put in public places to provide people with enjoyments seeing such arts, those financial requirements should be met by the government, while I believe that investing more money into improving local facilities, such as educational centers and medical services is better than building sculptures.
