Nowadays,it is mostly argued that the style of clothes that people wear is highly likely to give information on their cultural Identities and characteristics. However, I am fully against this view and in this essay I will explain why I disagree with it.
In my opinion, people’s clothing does not determine their cultures or behaviours as most people wear nearly the same fashion clothes these days. By this I mean, they mostly purchase clothes from famous brand shops and it is difficult to find the difference among them. To illustrate, the designs of Gucci and Dior are nearly the same except for their signs. This, as a result, leads to challenges in distinguishing which countries they come from and how they behave.
On the other hand, some people from other countries can easily be differentiated. For example, Europeans wear too short and open clothes which muslims do not wear. That is to say, they are not embarassed of what they are wearing when muslims are.
Consequently, they are bound to stand out among others. Providing that they do not wear such short and open clothes, it would be challenging to find the difference.
To sum up, although some people consider that people’s ways of clothing can tell us about their cultures and characters by looking at European people, I assume that they can not give data about those features since fashions are the same these days.
