Nowadays, parental supervision plays a vital role in enhancing their children’s development. However, some people say that fathers and mothers should encourage their children to take part in organized group recreational activities in their leisure time. While others say that it is significantly important for youngsters to learn how to occupy themselves on their own. In my point of view, both are marvelous methods for the development of children.
On the one hand, there are multiple benefits of group activities. First of all, children can learn about how to cope with group activities. These may lead to positive outcomes in their lifetimes, even though this skill is helpful for work life. Secondly, parental guidelines from different perspectives are engaged in extracurricular activities such as puzzles or arts to increase their IQ level. For instance, in foreign countries, there is a rule that parents should teach their children about fundamental rules and regulations, different activities, and creativity or some challenging games.
On the other hand, children can teach themselves different skills through books or the internet, which may lead to long-term benefits in their brain development and more evaluable activities or skills. In addition, youngsters may be taught how to manage their schedule and activities and learn new skills themselves in their hectic times.
In conclusion, it is the parental responsibility to teach their children to learn new skills. However, children may also learn through different resources to be involved in some activities. From my point of view, it is valuable for children to manage their free time to learn new things. Sometimes parental negligence may lead to negative effects on their children.
