Modern developments in agriculture like farming and creation of new types of fruits and vegetables, are supported by some people while others oppose this idea. While it helps to create variety of products, there is a drawback: the loss of natural features.
There are many reasons why creation of new fruits and vegetables should be supported. One of the main ones is variety. To clarify, nowadays due to developments in agriculture people can create new varieties of crops and produce them. As a result, we may have new fruits or vegetables that are more nutritious and delicious than ordinary ones. If farmers mix some seeds with other crops they may have a new crop with different smells or tastes. So people can enjoy the tastes and smells and feel better. The more nutritious and tasty vegetables we have, the healthier diets will be.
On the other hand, there is a single disadvantage that can result from creating new types of products: the loss of natural features may take place. We are provided with many kinds of products that grow naturally in the environment with the impact of the sun, the earth, and other elements on our planet. For example, we have fruits and vegetables that grow naturally in the earth without any effort; they can grow from the ground with sunlight and water. They already have the vitamins and minerals that we need. If we try to create something new that is unnatural, in factories or farms, it may not benefit us as the natural ones. Additionally, we are not aware of what bad effects have.
In conclusion, while creating new fruits and vegetables can create a huge variety of food, providing more accessible choices for people, there is a drawback that can have a negative effect on people’s health.
