Many people think certain prisoners should be made to do community service work instead of being put behind bars. In this essay, I will address that I completely agree because of the fact that prison wastes people’s lives.
It is clear that if teenagers are imprisoned, it will have a negative effect on their future. Prisons have toxic and violent environment, and it has negative impact on their future. Thus, government should offer to young criminals that they fulfill community service instead of prisoners. To illustrate this, Iran has such as a law, and whenever teenagers or others commit a crime hence, government offers them that doing unpaid community. They must help traffic police and organize streets and highway.
Moreover, I believe that if criminals fulfill unpaid work instead of prison they will learn new skills, and also new job. When they were released from prison, they can do their skills and jobs that learning whenever and wherever. In other words, staying at jail not only do people cause to waste their lives but also, they lose their hope about continue their lives and their goals. For instance, my co-worker committed a crime and he had to go prison. At the first place, he accepted that went to the prison but after that he got deportation, and was sick. Thus, he made discussion that accepted community services.
In conclusion, I think that community services are good idea because of the fact that criminals can learn new skills. When they release, they can use them, and thus they spend their time useful, and also, they protect their mental, and physical health.
