Transportation plays a crucial role in our day-to-day lives. Some people believe that allocating a huge amount of money to highways and motorways is essential rather than public vehicles. I personally argue against spending money on roadways and highways because of some reasons that will be explained in the following paragraphs.
There are couple of main reasons why I think that spending money on highways have to be stopped. The primary reason is that sharing money to roadways quality contributes people to use it more. Using too much transport vehicles produce environmental problems which is the huge concern for every government. In addition, it promotes traffic jams and tailbacks that is the most common problem in these days. Traffic congestions increases air pollution and brings about harmful emissions that can be demerged by transports.
Therefore, I am In favor of subsidizing to improve quality of public transport systems. Using passenger automobiles instead of own car can be contributory factor of decreasing toxic gases and contributing natural ecosystem. By means of controlling how much emissions brought to atmosphere, we can protect the nature from pollution. Moreover, using public transports reduce traffic congestions in crowded cities or towns and public vehicles are cheaper and more convenient than owning and operating own car. Therefore, I am of the idea that this investment deserves to be considered carefully.
In conclusion, because of reasons I mentioned above, I completely support the idea of spending money on public transport systems which is more efficient than road-based vehicle.
