The question of whether some people think rapid population growth in citied benefits people who live there or others believe that is has negative impacts is more beneficial has been a subject of intense academic and social debate. While I acknowledge that this trend has certain benefits, it is my firm belief that it has more negative impacts on people’s lives.
There are several reasons why some people believe that rapid population growth benefits city residents. Chief among these is that a larger population can create more job opportunitie. This is because more people may encourage businesses to open new shops, restaurants and factories. For example, in big cities like Hanoi, many companies need workers to meet the needs of a growing population. As a result, local people may have more chance to find jobs. Furthermore, a larger population can help improve public services, such as hospitals and schools. Thus, it is understandable why some people support this view, although I believe its disadvantages are more serious.
On the other hand, I maintain that others believe that it has negative impacts is morẻ viable approach for more profound reasons. Primarily, it serves as a crucial cause of traffic congestion and air pollution. Unlike a smaller population, which puts less pressure on transport systems, a rapidly growing population leads to more cars and motorbikes on the road. This, in turn, makes the air dirtier and people’s daily lives more difficult. This is best exemplified by Hanoi, where people often spend a long time travelling to work because of heavy traffic. Additionally, the long-term efects of rapid population growth cannot be overlooked, as it leads to higher housing costs and makes life more difficult for low-income families. Although critics may argue that a larger population creates more job opportunities, this view fails to account for the fact that traffic congestion, pollution and high housing costs can reduce people’s quality of life.
In conclusion, although Some people think rapid population growth in cities benefits people who live there offers centain undeniable benefits such as traffic congestion, pollution and high housing costs, are more serious. Overall, controlling population growth is important to improve people’s quality of life.
