Band 5+: Some people think that young people should spend their free time doing useful activities like learning new skills or helping the community. Others believe that they should be free to relax and enjoy their leisure time as they wish. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some individuals believe that yong people should be required to do volunteering at their spare time, while others think that youth should have freedom to choose whether they want or not. Although the first opinion could be important in some cases, I believe that freedom to choose how young people spend their free time is more beneficial for them, as many students are working part-time after school or helping their parents.

The consent of some people that young people should be requried to do volunteering at their free time is indeed important for our community. This could help the majority of people and either gave practical experience for students. However, not everyone wants to help others by working for free. I think that if unpaid community work will be required for young people, it can lead to that work simply will get done without any care about it. Additionaly, for many vacancies for volunteering there is always free will to join. Therefore, I believe that could be unfair to require students to work for free.

Many young people are going to work part-time after school or helping parents around the house. Working part-time helps them to manage their own expences and make them more independent. In this case there is no point for them to do voluntary work, unless they would like to. For sure at this age young people have a lot of responsibilities, not only studying and they can get working experience from paid jobs, which is more beneficial for them. Morover, among many people there is always someone who is willing to do voluntary work and truly wants to help and will do their best to contribute to society. As a result, I think the unpaid community work should be free to attend for students.

In conclusion, while some people think that is a good idea to require students to do voluntary work at their free time, I believe that free will to choose is more beneficial for them because many of students are working part-time to support yourselvs and have other responsibilities as well.
