Some individuals believe that all university students should choose and learn subjects they want. While others claim that it is better to study majors which will be helpful hereafter, including those connected to sci-tech. I personally think that students have right to be taught to whatever they like. Let us examine both views before reaching a concrete decision.
On the one hand, it is vital to decide on subjects that are students’ favorite. There are many types of jobs and activities for people nowadays, so that they can choose whatever they truly want, as a lot of works will be useful in the future. For instance, studies relating to media and communication might be seemed a little strange for many people a few years ago. However, a large number of students overall go to this major now claiming that it will have a more value in the near future.
On the other hand, industry is in need of new ideas, new great people, as well as game changing methods. Apart from that, science and technology have advantages and diverse impacts on society. These subjects advance the world, open tracks for a career, and provide various solutions to the problems occurring around us. For example, in this era, Europe and other developed countries have progressed in technology; thus, if one chooses artificial intelligence and computer-based subjects, they will have a better future.
To conclude, some people have the perception that youngsters should have the freedom to take subjects based on their choices, whereas others think that they should follow subjects based on science and technology. Meanwhile, I believe the first view is that juveniles should grab the subject they like.
