Climate change has been a critical topic, some people believe it has negative influences on business, while others argue that it creates more opportunities in business. Although there are some evidence shows extreme weather such as storm, rain, and hot weather truely affects industries, for example agriculture and works require labors out on fields, I still believe climate change has provided much more oppotunities for business.
First of all, since climate change has become an important issue that entire human race are trying to solve, there are so many business products directly benifit from eco-friendly regulations and ideas, which they are represented as “the savior of climate chage”. Take European country as an example, since the idea of eco-friendly first appeared in 2000s, there were so many new companies and new divices published to the market. Electrical bikes, vehicles, busses, e-books…etc are great evidences, which are widely accepted and purchased not only by individuals but also governments.
On the other hand, climate change has also significantly transform the architecture industry, and not only for newly-built buildings. For houses or offices built a long time ago, they might start suffer from the floods and extreme hot weather recently. Therefore, new businesses associated with shading devices, anti-flood structures, and air-conditioner has risen, due to the fact they prevent damage from the climate change.
In conclusion, althought there are some negative impacts towards business, as labors working on the field suffer from extreme weathers, I believe there are so much more positive opportunites provided to the business.
