A group of individuals believes that it is better to compete with colleagues at work, at school, and in daily life. Although many people think that we should try to cooperate with those around us, this essay will examine both sides of the argument.
There are several benefits to competing with others. Firstly, when parents place their children in environments that encourage competition with peers, it promotes hard work and motivates students to excel beyond their classmates. This competition not only teaches young people how to handle challenging situations but also enhances their confidence through participation. Furthermore, competition can be beneficial in other areas, such as in the workplace and in daily interactions with friends. For instance, individuals who enjoy challenging others, whether in school or in their personal lives, gain the confidence to express their opinions in front of others and navigate difficult situations more easily.
On the other hand, some argue that helping people in their work and during their studies is more beneficial. This behaviour is crucial for maintaining healthy relationships between family members and friends. Additionally, children may not learn the importance of humility and politeness towards others, especially towards their elders. For example, parents often teach their children from a young age how to behave respectfully in front of elders, and cultivating politeness fosters civility and humanity.
In my opinion, while it is undeniable that helping others in their work and personal lives is important, I believe that competing with others is far more effective for enhancing knowledge and personal growth.
