It is argued that competition at work, at school or in daily life has a beneficial effect. In my perspective; however, people had better try to cooperate instead of competing with each other due to the plethora of benefits it brings.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some believe that competition should occur through working and studying. The primary reason is that such competition makes a huge contribution to the company’s revenue. In detail, being put in harsh competition, a large number of employees have no choice but to take great attempts for their finance and promotion. Hence, not only their work productivity increases, but the whole bussiness’s prosperity as well. Furthermore, in an educational environment, competition might help children to explore their maximum potential. As they always strive to get a higher mark compared to their counterparts or adopt a scholarship, they can step out of their comfort zone and explore how excellent they are.
On the other hand, I am firmly of the opinion that cooperation has a more positive influence on people. One of the main reasons is that it builds the overall development of the whole community. Particularly, if people build relationships, together engage in discussion and offer assistance, the work can be accomplished easier, faster and more accurately. Moreover, they can compensate for their fellows’ weaknesses or help them to improve them. For example, Japan has a higher and more consistent attainment in math achieved compared to the USA due to the supportive attitude of a class towards slower pupils and the lack of competition.
In conclusion, although competition in life might be good in some certain aspects, I wholeheartedly suppose that it is extremely better if people cooperate.
