Some individuals say that encouraging children to play team sports is the best method to develop teamwork among themselves. I agree with this statement because team sports help to shape children’s emotional maturity at a young age and make them feel more confident.
On the one hand, children’s involvement in team sports helps to nurture emotional intelligence because they are trained to accept losing in games. This will make them more resistant to dissatisfaction, which may lead to serious harm to their opponents if these children are unable to control their emotion. For example, the vast majority of young athletes from all over the world are really great at suppressing their emotion as well as staying calm when facing tight opponents. As a result, no physical attackS occur between both young players due to their self-regulation has been fully developed.
Furthermore, joining team sports help children develops self-confidence because they need to socialise with other young players. This cause them to be less introverted and able to communicate confidently as well as creating bond with peers. In fact, most young kids that are involved in team sports become more confident in the classroom because they are encouraged to work in a team at an early age. Therefore, team sports prepare kids to face real world by creating social networks, which make them feel more confident with themselves.
In conclusion, it is believed that team sports is the best way to educate younger generations about the need to work in a team. I strongly agree with this statement because team sports help to develop children’s early emotional intelligence and nurture their self-confidence.
