Particularly, the Olympic Games as well as the Football World Cup are one of the most well-known events that require significant financial investments. In more detail, a country that is aiming to host such a grand event must be ready for enormous expenditure in order to maintain the highest level of organisation and comfort for participants. For instance, performers and their professional teams that escort them throughout the entire period of the event are normally provided with top hotel rooms and all-inclusive services, which creates additional expenditures.
However, while hosting international events is expensive, it brings massive popularity and economic benefits to a country. In particular, such globally recognised events attract a worldwide audience, boosting tourism and generating revenue through spending on accommodation, transport, and food. Besides, international games attract sport investors and other wealthy individuals who may be interested in financial support of a hosting country and may invest in holding games; in this way, countries may obtain trusting partnerships with world companions, which has a potential for further collaborations and launching of new events.
