Nowadays, in our fast-pased life in high-technology world, maintaining public libraries is seems unuseful, since digital version can easily replace them. In my view, traditional books and libraries are can not be replaced, Libraries is a place where people can find peace of mind and have huge historical importance. So I completely disagree with this statement.
As I told before, when people live in century of internet and high-developed technology which is only increasing day by day, there is a question about needing libraries. I agree that their functions can be replaced by computers, but do we need it? In our loud world where people constantly receive messages, calls and being distracted, libraries is similar to oasis in this chaotic world. People come to this place not only to read some literature but also to hide from noises. In library people can find privacy and concentration as a piece of cake. For instance, students instantly spent their rest of the day after university or school in libraries, as I see, trying to absorb knowledge as much as possible. They are usually turn off their phones or listen to quite music in headphones, trying to not bother other people.
Another reason why libraries are so important is a huge historical mark they left through the time. Public libraries house rare books, historical documents, and archives that might not be digitized or easily accessible online. They play a vital role in preserving and sharing the cultural and historical identity of communities. All information, lore, experience – are should be cherished and saved. Their existent playing a great role in past exploration. For example, royal library in Great Britan, library in Rome and we have a lot of more.
In conclusion, libraries is a monumental place and digital versions of books can not convey the importance of the knowledge that is there.
