Given the prominence to environment’s safety, some people suggest that companies should provide minimal packaged products in market. Whilst others argue that it is not only companies responsibility but individuals should prefer to buy less-packaged products. However, I believe that both companies and consumer could reduce the usage of such coverings.
On the one hand, manufacturers generally prefers usage of non-degradable materials such as plastic for covering their products. Since, this complex material tend to remain in land for millions of years and even consumed by the animals. As a result, land pollution dramatically increases and due to the consumption of such complex waste, animals often meet to death. According to the survey of veternary doctors, per year thousands of stray cattles are dying. Thus, reducing the usage of such rigid materials could dwindle the rate of rising pollution.
On the flip side, despite the fact that such packaging causing devastating effect and contributing pollutions, it is also responsibility of people not to purchase such products. When public show less interest on expanding on unnecessarily packaged products, companies would have to focus on introducing ecofriendly packaging. On the top of that, Japanese company have to introduced ecofriendly polymer after boycotting overly layered products upon food packs. Hence, public response towards lessening the outlay on such packaged product could be advantageous.
To sum up, after considering both side arguments, I firmly believe that companies as well as people could play a vital role in reduction on utilization of packaging for saving the environment.
