Movies and visually available contents gained significant attention recently. Some individuals argue that movies should be created to simulate critical thinking rather than simply evoke emotions. I firmly disagree with this perspective, because films should reflect the reality of life rather than create a delusional world for consumers.
In recent years, movies have become a mere filler for the emptiness in people is lives. Watching films has turned into a superficial activity, where viewers primarily seek humor and entertainment. Many movies today focus on depicting the modern life, traditions and culture of others, offering consumers fake scenery into and idealized life that they may not experience for their own existence boring.
However, there are also movies that go beyond less entertainment. Such films challenge the audience, stimulating deep-thought and encouraging critical analysis of reality and issues. These thought-provoking movies can leave an impact, providing discussions on important social or philosophical issues, and contributing to the personal growth of consumers. Such films not only encourage deeper thinking, but also help incorporate real emotions, allowing viewers to see the world from a more critical perspective. While entertainment films may evoke stronger emotions, however, staying grounded in reality is more beneficial then aspiring to the Idealized lives of perfect characters. For example, Korean dramas often provide viewers a glimpse into the live of main characters, highlighting their relationship with each other and their family members. This type of series allows consumers to indulge in certain fantasies, which is leads to a desire for consumers to become dissatisfied drama that they ,missed from their reality.
in summary while movies can provide entertainment, insight, and imaginative explorations, they ultimately remain a constructed, artificial representation of reality, rather than an unmediated reflection of it.
