Some people believe that the newspapers are free to reveal the information of people’s background whereas other argue that it should be kept as individual’s privacy. In my opinion, the media should keep the private life of people rather than publishing on social media.
One the one hand, many people argue that personal data should showcase in public as there is nothing to hide about it. As a result, the particular person will get people’s trust if compared to hiding his background. For example, a politician who will enter upcoming election for government position, if listed media publish his details, he could get people’s support well. In addition, it is fair and square to other participants as well.
On the other hand, other people think that the social platform should keep the personal’s information which could lead to the risk of that person life. For instance, one top student in school who have a father with criminal record should be controlled his personal data. Because it could result him to cost his life or lose his concentration on his study due to the peer view of his classmates even though having father with ex-criminal record is not his fault. Furthermore, it would not come out any good result by doing so.
In conclusion, it is great the media showcase people’s personal data such as famous author’s biography with their consent. But, as for ordinary person, it is hard to accept negative comments from people. So, I think the newspaper or media should not have reveal people’s private life to prevent the consequences.
