Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Many people believe that children should be prohibited from using social media but others do not agree with that. Although I understand the former view, I am more inclined toward the latter

On the opposing side, some may argue that children should be prohibited from accessing social network . Firstly, social media can affect negatively on their health, which does harm to the body. For example, if children spend too much time on social media they will be eye-stain and reduce eye sight if overuse.Consequently, their body will be exhausted when they lack sleep. Secondly, it made them distracted from study and not focus on lesson. For instance, they cannot leave phone anytime even when they have study. Therefore, they will lack motivation and reduce not only logical thinking but also cognitive functions. It come affect their academic result.

Nevertheless, I hold the opinion that children should not be prohibited completely from social media. I believe that it can provide many benefit to children. Firstly, through social media, children can built many relationship and it is a common way to keep in touch with community. For example, many children can use these platforms such as Facebook , Instagram to communicate with friends and share experiences. As a result, they will have more friends and maybe more support on their life. Secondly, on social media, there are many educational resources to help them with studies. For instance, they can access a web to search for the solution for homework or watch YouTube clip about lecture and improve learning ability. As a result, they can expand knowledge not only helpful for school an can be useful for social life.

In conclusion, even though there are many reasons why social media should be banned, I still believe it can bring many benefits for children.
