For many centuries, language was considered the most important way of communication in many cultures.Although, delivering certain ideas or maintaining well-organized discussions are the usages of most spoken languages in some countries. Some people think that language is not an important aspect in thriving into a certain culture. In my view, language can significantly optimize the deep comprehension of the culture; however, many people claim that language is not a real hindrance.
Language might be a main factor in the culture’s understanding process. For example, native speakers or people who originally spoke a specific language, utilize idioms in their daily conversations which are some words if translated word by word can sound ridiculous, In contrast, they may have a deeper one. Many of the idioms are originally taken from the country’s identity. If somebody tries to go deeper and thrive in certain cultural traditions he will face many of these as a hindrance factor.
Another different opinion regarding the language’s cruciality in relating to certain cultures is that it is not an impediment aspect. People like this depend their theory on an individual’s ability to guess the meaning of a specific context from body language and emotional expressions. For further elaboration, they tackle facial impressions and hand movements to have a clue about what the native speaker says. Ironically, most of the time they receive an opposite comprehension as the body movements vary from one culture to another in addressing certain points.
To conclude, thriving in a culture without mastering the most important way of communication is quite impossible. Whereas, maintaining the context understanding using the body movement could lead to the opposite understanding as mentioned.
