Many people think that more money should be spent on animal protection by the government, while others think that there are other important things that government should fund. Both aspects are equally important since animal extinction could affect the local environment, while other priorities such as healthcare is equally crucial since without it, it may cost lives of innocent people. I believe that there are other more crucial priorities to be funded since human lives and other aspects such as education, traffic system and technology should not be ignored.
On the one hand, one reason why the state should fund animal protection is that, if an animal goes extinct in any circumstances, it might cause devastating effects on the food chain. That is because the distrubtion in the food chain may result in over population for some species cause them to destroy their own living environment by consuming all the resources available. For example, the extinction of Tasmanian tiger caused Tasmanian devils to take over the Tasmanian forest and resulting in devils eating most of the food supply of other species. As a result, there was a massive drop of other species such as birds, mice and snakes causing them to get endangered.
On the other hand, one reason why other aspects should be funded too, is that it can improve the quality of life for citizens. That is because some people cannot afford healthcare without the support from the government resulting in many deaths around the world. For example, many developed countries aid their citizens by cutting the cost of healthcare since they would not want to cause suffering upon their people. As a result, the citizen would be more grateful and happier, reducing the risk of protests since they trust their government in the need of help.
In conclusion, spending more money on animal protection is important since it would allow them to save animals from an extinction and spending more money on other aspects is important too since it could contribute to lives being saved and for the happiness of the citizens. In my opinion, I think other categories should be funded more since it would focus on a wide range of issues while helping people.
