In nowadays, there is an increase on competition between schools especially on some well-known institutes. In my opinion, I barely disagree that this phenomenon has a negative impact on children, while it encourages children to achieve.
Firstly, in such a competitive enviornment, teachers will provide more workloads such as worksheets, exams, and classworks in order to encourage students work harder for getting a desirable results. However, this may leads to both students and teachers suffer more pressure while both of their workloads are risen, if some of them are dealing with mental issues like depression and anxiety in initial, the pressure will let those issues become more serious. Moreover, the numbers of suicides have been increasing recently, while students indicates a lot, so, if school being more competitive, then it leads to a massive of pressures.
On the other hand, some students may cannot deal with the pressures by themselves, they needs to search for a help from counsellors. Nevertheless, if there are massive amount of students needs help, maybe the counsellors cannot afford such amount of cases and pressure, schools may need to hire more counsellors for help. This may lessen the rate of people who cannot find their jobs, but at the same time, this is not good for the overall phenomenon caused.
In conclusion, instead of just being too comparative between schools, schools should provide a healthy environment for children to study as well as not just keep giving them pressure as they cannot deal with mental issues immediately
