Nowadays, there are many people who think that students should learn only the certain subjects. It just can be pointless and not to be useful in the future.
To start with, the current system of education has positive sides. A wide range of subjects let children broaden the horizons.Moreover, it let them be more aware of the world. In addition, reducing subject in a young age can be risky, because children’s opinion tends to change. Therefore, it will be difficult for the child to change their preference.
On the other hand, it gives the chance to concentrate on one certain direction that you love. For example, if you wanted to become Web Developer, you would have spent all your time on learning Informatics and Maths not getting distracted. Nevertheless, it requires a mature decision from wise person. And it seems to me that low or middle schoolers can take such decisions.
To sum up, the current system with a wide choice open many directions for schoolboys and give the imagination of the world. But reducing them would let the students be focused on their favorite subjects which help them in the future.
