There is a growing belief that success in life depends on hard work and determination, while others contend that factors such as money and physical appearance play a more significant role. In this essay, I am inclined to agree with the former perspective as more compelling reasons supporting it outweigh the possible arguments for the latter one.
On one side of the debate, the second conviction appears to be reasonable largely because money and appearance can provide individuals with certain advantages. This is particularly true for people from wealthy families, who often have access to better educational opportunities and financial support. As a result, they often have better job opportunities than people from poorer families. A further point to make is that having a good appearance can bring advantages in some careers. This is clearly evident in industries such as entertainment and marketing, where appearance often influences public attention. The implication of this is that attractive individuals may find it easier to gain recognition and career opportunities.
In spite of the mentioned arguments, I strongly support the first notion due to more convincing factors. Primarily, my stance is rooted in the fact that hard work helps people develop valuable knowledge and skills. This is notably visible among students and employees who consistently put effort into their studies or work. Consequently, they are more likely to achieve better academic and professional outcomes. Another reason behind my belief is that determination enables people to overcome challenges. For example, many people spent years working hard before becoming successful. This situation therefore shows that determination plays an important role in achieving long-term success.
In conclusion, despite acknowledging the potential arguments in favour of the second viewpoint, there are overwhelming rationales to endorse the first one.
