It has been argued whether success comes from hard work and determination or more important factors such as money and appearance play a remarkable role. This essay will discuss both views while providing my own idea which supports equal importance of both notions.
First of all, almost all people who received success in their life put a lot of effort to reach their goals. Not only effort but also some characteristics as discipline and consistency are considered crucial to get what you want. Moreover, this also means that a person has to have a feeling of responsibility over their life and actions on a daily basis. For example, a founder of enormous bookshop chains in Azerbaijan namely “Ali and Nino” states in an interview that despite all hardships and hindrance that came across her during the development of her business, she showed determination and never gave up.
On the other hand, although, I think that other factors, such as appearance and financial state of an individual cannot be denied. Additionally, a person’s appearance has its influence in forming an opinion or making an impression on another person. For instance, if a person is taking part in a job interview and comes there in a style which is not appropriate to dress-code requirements of an office it lowers the chances of getting the job.
In conclusion, I am of the opinion that while hard work is a truly vital factor that plays a role in being successful, it is not the only one. Other factors, such as physical appearance, financial maintenance and self-representation are also important in accomplishing our goals.
