In recent years, the issue of education has sparked significant debate. While some people believe that active teaching is the best method of passing on information, others argue that understanding the basic facts works wonders. This essay will discuss both perspectives before presenting my own opinion on this matter.
Proponents of interactive teaching often claim that thinking outside the box will aid children to have a shift in their perspectives in a positive way. This belief stems from the idea that pressing ahead with plans usually begins with a breakthrough in people’s creativity. For example, engaging kids with real-life dilemmas can bring about a development in their intuitions in their adulthood. Additionally, supporters argue that brushing up on children’s problem solving skills hones their confidence. This fact makes the perspective valid.
Conversely, others contend that having children focus on the fundamentals often has better results. This belief argues that if children tend to make adjustments to their mindset, they should take in the necessary lessons in the first place. For instance, children in Japanese schools are forced to memorize the required facts first, then they can choose their favorite major to continue their study plan.
In my opinion, striking a balance between both viewpoints is the best approach. On the one hand, it is of importance to figure out the basic subjects at schools,on the other hand, creating a dynamic environment for children to learn and grow will lead to an intelligent society.
To conclude, although there are convincing arguments on both sides of educating approaches, I believe providing a hybrid method provides the most practical and sustainable solution. It is important to assess both views carefully before making a major decision.
