To think whether or not an annual driving test is necessary or not to ensure better road safety can be a topic of great debate. I, personally think, this is a great initiative for safer roads. All the rebuttals must be taken with a grain of salt, where in favour opinions weigh more.
Annual driving test contemplates an opportunity for new and old learners to get back to the basics.
This yearly routine check up allows the drivers to get familiar with recently updated road laws,and moreover , to confirm their licences have their inception. However, some people might be quick to consider this to be a waste of time , but this scheduled test warns drivers all around the country to be on their best behavior on roads and during the test to get their driving permit successfully back. Moreover, this test allows the opportunity for the official to investigate whether a vehicle is in a proper shape to be on the road or not.
To add balance on the other side of the coin, some people might bring up the fact that only beginners should take the test. To counter this statement, I must mention that this yearly test is designed for everyone to participate to confirm if the driver is physically and mentally fit to be on the road as it’s not only a matter for the drivers but the pedestrians too. A new beginner whose body can not tolerate the load of the car on a sudden strong and forceful break are more inclined to get hurt.
In conclusion, it is greatly justified that driving tests are crucial and beneficial to improving safer roads. All the rebuttals and disagreements should be considered as a grain of rice compared to a stack of hay.
