Money is one of the most important reasons for hard work. People strive and labor to provide themselves and their loved ones with a luxurious and happy life – for this they need to work and study hard. Ultimately, a happy life requires a lot of money, especially in our generation.
Why do I believe happiness depends on money? Because without money, living in poverty means you can’t afford things you love – a car, a house. Even your friends will leave you if you’re poor in today’s world. While it’s true that money alone can’t guarantee happiness, the fact remains: if you can’t provide for your family, can’t give your children quality things, or worse – if someone in your family gets sick and you can’t afford treatment, how can you possibly be happy? When something bad happens to them and you’re powerless to help, where is the happiness then?
This is why we must accept the truth – happiness does depend on money. Without financial means, we can’t protect or provide for those we love, and that’s the most fundamental source of unhappiness. Money may not buy happiness directly, but its absence certainly buys misery. In our modern world, financial stability isn’t just desirable – it’s essential for basic human dignity and family security.
The reality is harsh but clear: while money doesn’t equal happiness, the lack of it almost always means suffering. We work hard not out of greed, but because we understand that in today’s world, money represents security, opportunity, and the ability to care for those who depend on us. That’s not materialism – that’s responsibility.
