There is no doubt that nowadays, number of buildings have increased significantly over the past few years. Some people believe that we should replace old structures and houses in cities with more modern and new buildings, while others argue that theses old buildings must be protected as it is important. In this essay, I will discuss both perspectives and explain my support for the former.
One of the key benefits of replacing old buildings and houses with more modern buildings is that it offers newer and safer places to live in. This is especially important in today’s world, where people can not find houses to live, because of the huge number of old buildings which are not save for themselves or children, leading homeless individuals number to increase rapidly. For example, studies have shown that the number of homeless people in cities which include old buildings are larger than the number in modern buildings cities.
On the other hand, many people argue that we should protect old buildings and care about them as these old buildings are the places where they have been born and raised. They are also the places where they had best memories of their life’s, so these places like treasures for them. Old places also can be reuse as museums because of the beauty of these old buildings. For example, many places in old Cairo which were been used as houses in the past been use as museums nowadays helping the country with difficult currency.
In conclusion, while many people believe that we should replace old structures and houses in cities with more modern and new buildings to accommodate the growing needs of cities, others argue that these old buildings must be protected as it is an important and historical places. Although old buildings can be important in nowadays world as they reflect the cultures, I support that these building should be replaced with new and modern one, providing a chance for new generations and better society to live in. I also believe we can maintain a balance between modern structures and old ones, achieving both the future and the cultural.
