Some people have this view that structures and homes built in the past years must be taken down and build a new and modern one. And some of them says the it should be protected and not to be replaced. In my own opinion, we should take care of what our ancestors have created and left for us.
Nowadays, building a new house or structure is expensive because of the increasing prices of materials and payment for the workers who’s going to build it. It is not that easy to acquire or save money , especially if you don’t have the means. Furtheremore, a certating place holds a lot of memories, especially houses where families live together and created a lot joyful of joyful memory. Old historical structures are there for a reason. It is a way of us to learn and remember where we came from and our culture. It is something that we have that makes us different from other group of people or races. Destroying it is like you are erasing your very own identity. Lastly, if it goes to a point that people are forced to replace their home to a modern one, they may not have a place to stay while their home is being rebuilt.
In conclusion, having a new modern house and buildings is also good, however, we must also take into account the importance and value of the old ones. For the reason that it is one of the things that define who we are.
