In recent years, many people advocate that wild animal should not be retained in zoos, while others believe that there are decent purposes for keeping them. Although some critics rise valid points, in my opinion, it has more devastating impacts on both environment and the extension of disease level.
On the one hand, keeping wild animals in zoos may bring financial benefits. People who addicted to observe various kinds of predators have always desire to see or touch in a real life. More upbring remote animals in the special area, more local, even tycoon people will be attracted to see them. Take a Tashkent Zoo as an example, enormous amounts of people visit to Tashkent thanks to its popular zoo. It includes lynxes, snakes, even lions which pursue individuals to buy tickets at a special cost, which means it gives an opportunity to earn money. In addition, schoolchildren will possess extensive knowledge based on wild animals if they conduct analysis by observing animals in zoos over merely learning through books. When students obey a few protocols, such as making close contacts with predators, not only they can learn precise information, but they also broaden their horizon with additional wildlife knowledge.
On the other hand, keeping wild animals in zoos poses a risk to the environment in my opinion. Several wild animals contribute to protect humans’ ecologic system. They may consume various types of bugs or insects, which have negative effects on trees at the expense of digging or gnawing trunks. For instance, if people continue to keep birds in cages, be it wild or harmless, tremendous insects might invade to dig plants while there is no saviour bird. Every tree in the environment plays a pivotal role as they release an oxygen that essential for the breathing system. Furthermore, keeping animals may cause to spread viruses. Some animals carry disease or venomous poisons; however, predators can hunt them in order to prevent people to intake such animals. One example is, lion feed with an antelope to daily survival. If zoo owners captivate lions continuously to display publicly, none animal do not eat antelope that carry disease. As a result, when suddenly people eat them, the likelihood of death surely increases. Therefore, it comes with a cost by doing these horrible things.
In conclusion, even though keeping animals in zoos offers fiscal benefits or students can expand their knowledge by observing, it has more negative effects as it cause to the environmental damage and more animals commence to spread disease instantly.
