Personal traits are considered to differ regarding gender. Some argue that women possess calmness as a part of their natural characteristics as opposed to men, who are thought to be more aggressive. While for women, peacefulness seems like an intrinsic character they are born with, I believe they are losing this trait and appearing to be as competitive as their male counterparts due to their positions at work.
On the one hand, I concede that females mostly show more courtesy than aggression. Parents usually teach their young girls to be courteous and calm when they grow up, which is more prevalent in the Islamic world. When they appear peaceful and less aggressive, they are shown as well-behaved women in society, which in turn causes their parents to be respected by others. For example, in my country, more and more girls are strictly forbidden to argue with others but instead taught to be calm, as their behavior is accompanied by their parents’ respect and pride in the community.
On the other hand, I contend that most females develop personalities similar to those of males. In this competitive world, females have embarked on the path to hold greater positions at work as men have been doing this since the Stone Age, and this trend triggers females to turn into being adamant and ultra-competitive. If they possess more bossy characteristics to control others, they barely look calm since some jobs require them to be more aggressive and less calm. Take, for example, Michele Obama, who is a globally recognized female lawyer and writer in the USA. She is quite famous for her worldwide actions to raise awareness about curbing racism and gender inequality. She never appears calm and peaceful in the face of social issues taking deep roots around the world. In contrast, from a young age, she has aimed to make the world a better place through her immense contribution.
Moreover, women seem less peaceful than men at home in a family environment. A mother who takes care of children is responsible for a multitude of jobs at home, including doing home chores, preparing kids for school or kindergarten, making food for them, and helping with studies, all of which require a great deal of patience and hard work. Oftentimes, this workload leads females to lose courtesy and become aggressive, a natural phenomenon that more women are undergoing.
To conclude, while women generally appear more calm and courteous in contrast to men, I believe they are becoming more aggressive and competitive because working positions females hold and family situations cause them to stay adamant.
