Some people reckon that workplace in a police force is not a job for women, and they shouldn’t work in there. I totally disagree with this idea, for a reason of contradiction with the principles of gender equality and I think that women can contribute a lot in this sphere.
Firstly, the biggest concern from people that consider police force as a “male job” should include the fact that all the modern equipment that police stations provide for their employees allows women protect and control emergency situations. There could be a margine in strength between particullar woman and men, but all the conducted utencils equate male and female strength. For instance, a lot of women that work in a police, always have high-voltage zappers and guns, for exceptional situations, to reduce the resistance from a suspect. There are almost 30 percent of women that work in police force in America, and in most cases they get their job done perfectly.
Secondly, idea of police force considered as male job is controvertial to the standards of gender equality. Women should not be restricted from any job that they want to apply to, if it is their passion. Common misconception of a low quality of work that has been done by women is actually a big issue and it could be argued by statistics of job efficiency in any workplace. There are scandinavian countries, such as UK, that already applied and tolerate gender equation rules, that is why a lot of policewomen can be seen in the streets patruling and looking after the civillians.
To conclude, there are majority of people that consider a lot of job such as police force as a work that should be done by a man, but I totally disagree with it, for a reasons, such as gender enequality and contribution that is done by women in this area.
