It is believed by some that learners at schools should be awarded grades under strict regulation whereas, others opine that educators at school should be rather amicable. Iam of the opinion that a friendly atmosphere encourages children learn more and score better grades.
On the one hand, it is considered that students must be taught in stern discipline so that they do well in academics. In other words, when teachers act as strict graders, it benefits learners immensely as they tend to become not only diligent but also committed towards their learning, such as completing home assignments on time, attending classes regularly, following class discipline as guided by teachers. Consequently, this can avoid any anomalies in the grading systems at schools.
On the other hand, it is argued that teachers must not act as a strict disciplinarian while marking students. Precisely, this method of grading enhances a friendly atmosphere between teachers and pupils, by monitoring the performance of the children in a more casual environment, such as interaction during play hours, grading during co-curricular activities, having cordial talks about academics. All these ways of grading children can highly attribute the degree of progress students have made throughout their session. To conclude, using stringent marking policies to monitor a student’s performance is thought by some to be relatively effective as opposed to another opinion where judging their performance in a more friendly environment to ensure more effectiveness in their overall performance is strongly favoured by me as well
